Your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. You will then take a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tarangire National Park on well-maintained tarmac roads, following the course of the Tarangire River. During the dry season, this river is the region’s primary water source for wildlife. The park is known for its elephant families congregating by the river and its giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, which attract predators like lions and leopards.

Tarangire is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth, and its landscape is adorned with ancient baobab trees, some of which are believed to have stood for over a thousand years. You will have lunch at a picturesque picnic site within the park, and after your game drive, you will journey to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu.

Unchanged for millions of years, its climate and vegetation create a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. The highlight is the annual great migration, during which large herds of wildebeests, accompanied by zebras and antelopes, continuously move in search of fresh grazing. The migration takes place throughout the year, so it is vital to know the best spots to witness it. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have excellent chances of encountering predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards—an incredibly transformative experience!

The park’s allure extends to its rich predator population, featuring lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards. A picnic lunch within the crater adds to the experience.
