Tour Features

The Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe and Datoga) Cultural Day Trip tour offers you a unique opportunity to visit the traditional homeland of the Hadzabe people, one of the last surviving hunter-gatherer tribes in the world, and to meet their neighbors, the Datoga peoples. They grow no food, raise no livestock, and live without rules or calendars. They are living a hunter-gatherer existence that is little changed from 10,000 years ago. What do they know that we’ve forgotten This is the home to the Hadzabe bushmen, Lake Eyasi is one of the few places remaining in Africa where tribal life is still maintained relatively untouched by the development of the region. The Hadzabe people have called Lake Eyasi home for more than 10,000 years, and still retain their hunter gatherer lifestyle; making them one of the last bastions of ancient African tribal life. A visit to the Hadzabe lands offers a unique and unforgettable glimpse into an ancient culture.
