  • Day 1 - Kigali International airport pick up and transfer to your Ho
    Upon your arrival to Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our hospitable guide drive who will brief you about all the activities we intend to do and after briefing, you will get transferred to Lebanon Hotel for check in. If you arrive in the morning, you will get a chance to make Kigali city tour. Visit the genocide memorial and get to learn the dark period of Rwanda in comparison of where it is currently.

  • Day 2 - Full day game drive
    After breakfast at 5: 00am preferably, with your well packed snacks; you will have about 3hour car drive to reach at Akagera National Park reception around 8:00. Then check in and at 8.30, start a long day game drive through the scenic areas above lakes and hippos beaches, among the animals you will have the chance to see are: elephants, giraffes, million herd of antelope, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, cats, buffalos and a good record for birdwatchers...Around 1 pm, you will have a pick nick lunch and then continue your game safari. The tour will be ended later afternoon at 5:00 and then retire at Akagera game lodge.

  • Day 3 - Boat ride and transfer back to Kigali and fly back to your h
    After your breakfast, you will have a boat trip on Ihema Lake. This tour is scheduled to get started at 9:00 and ends at 10 .Akagera national park is the only park in Africa which comprises of swamps, open grassland, woodland and savannah. A boat to this lake will offer you a fabulous introduction to the park aquatic fauna. You will get to spot Hippos and crocodiles, which is compulsory but also an abundant of water birds such as African fish eagle, African darter and white winged warbler. You will also see a herd of buffaloes that come to drink water in the lake. Then later you will be transferred back to Kigali for your afternoon flight.

Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.

Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • As of January 2018, citizens of all countries are now eligible for visas on arrival at US$30 for 30 days. More details at www.migration.gov.rw
  • For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
