This 6 Days Gorilla And Chimpanzee Tracking In Uganda is entitled to give you the ultimate gorilla and chimp tracking experience in Uganda that can never be got anywhere. Gorilla tracking is done in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in South Western Uganda while Chimp tracking is done in Kibale national Park however the safari also gives you a chance to explore the wild plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Ishasha sector to search for the Famous tree Climbing Lions. - Day 1 - Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale National ParkAfter an early morning breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to Kibale which is approximately 5-6 hours’ drive using the Mubende-Fort Portal route. Have hot lunch in Fort Portal town which is close to 42min to Kibale National Park, then proceed to Kibale checking in to the lodge for relaxing for almost two hours as you prepare yourself to visit some of the craters in the evening. Get back to the lodge with your safari driver for dinner and overnight.

- Day 2 - Chimp tracking and Bigodi Community Walk.Wake up early morning and go for breakfast, then drive to the briefing point before the tracking activity starts. You will be joined by the site guide who will take you through the tracking. You are advised to get your cameras ready as soon as your sport a group of chimps to take pictures for future remembrance. The tracking activity always lasts for 1-6hours depending on someone’s energy to walk fast. After the activity, you will be picked up by your safari driver and be taken for lunch from where you will have slept. After the interaction with our closest cousins, you will drive back to the Lodge for Hot Lunch and some relaxation before going out for a Bigodi community walk in the evening.

- Day 3 - Transfer to Ishasha Sector of QENP for a game driveFollowing your breakfast, a drive to the southern Sector of Queen El9zabeth National Park starts off, you will have an Equator experience at Kikorongo in the Middle of this Park as you drive through this Park. You will reach the Ishasha sector during lunchtime, check in the lodge and have lunch, relax a little bit and then embark on an evening game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. The game drive is full of rewards in form of large herds of Buffaloes, Topis, Antelopes which are permanent residents of this Area. Drive Back to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.

- Day 4 - :Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkAfter breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Kihihi Town, the bumpy road is so rewarding with rolling green hills and the winding roads. The unique landscapes and huge valleys make it a worthwhile drive to the dense Forests of Bwindi which homes almost half of the remaining Mountain Gorillas.

- Day 5 - Gorilla tracking and Batwa community visitAfter early morning breakfast from the lodge drive to the briefing point at Buhoma Headquarters) by your safari driver. This should be done before 8 am African time. Get ready in your good safari shoes, light long-slived sweaters, and start the tracking. You will be joined by the experienced ranger who will help you in locating the gorilla family group. Tracking always goes for 1-6 hours depending on the exact location of the gorilla family as they keep moving in search of food and your energy to trail fast with ease. When tracking is done, your driver will transfer your back to the lodge for hot lunch. Relax while waiting to go for a community visit to enjoy the best experience with the shortest people in the world known as the Batwa(pygmies) in the evening. Take pictures with them on request as you can also join them in their cultural dance to fully enjoy the hospitality of Ugandans. Get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

- Day 6 - Drive back to Entebbe to End the Safari.After breakfast, check out of the lodge and prepare for your return journey to Kampala/ Entebbe which is approximately 9-10 hours from Bwindi using the Kabale-Mbarara- Masaka-Kampala route. Have your lunch at Agip Motel in Mbarara, proceed the journey and have a stopover at Kayabwe in Mpigi for Equator experience where you will get a chance to stand in both the Northern and the Southern hemispheres of the earth. Drive to Entebbe to End the Safari.

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

Travel Requirements
- All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
- Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
- Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
