Be picked up at the hotel by the African Challenge Safaris representative, depart straight for Masai Mara National park with a game drive en route. This corner of Kenya offers the quintessential idea of the African wilderness, glorious sunrises, reddish sunsets, golden plains, dense bush, and, of course, the richness of wildlife rarely rivaled anywhere in Kenya. You will stay overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp for the two nights where you will be staying on a full board basis. Lunch is served on your arrival, followed by an afternoon game drive through the reserve. Return for dinner at Sarova Mara and relaxation in comfort.

Morning tea/coffee as you watch the Masai Mara wildlife welcoming the new day. Proceed for a morning game drive and return for a full breakfast meal. The driver-guide will take you to see the Wildebeest Migration on this day. Every year from Late June to October the Masai Mara hosts one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth. Nothing in East Africa can be compared to the Great Wildebeest Migration as over a million wildebeest and Zebra arrive on the plains to graze. Return for dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp

Head out for your first game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is known for its large population of pink flamingos, various bird species, and other wildlife such as buffalo, waterbuck, giraffes, and even rhinos. Keep an eye out for the white and black rhinos, as Lake Nakuru is one of the best places to spot them. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Hell's Gate is home to giraffes, warthogs, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and many birds. You can see wildlife like buffalos in the shade or just grazing. Getting There

Tourists can visit these safari locations once in Kenya and can show up via air, land or ocean, however, flights are the most favoured mode of transport. Kenya is a huge nation and while you can go via vehicle on a safari circuit, getting between the various regions is better on a booked flight.
Kenya's main airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), located 15km/9mi southeast of Nairobi. Kenya's second international Airport is Moi International Airport (MBA), located 9km/6mi west of Mombasa, but aside from flights to Zanzibar, this is primarily used for domestic and charter flights.
From Nairobi or Mombasa, one can fly or drive between reserves, or opt to do a bit of both. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.

This tour starts in Nairobi and ends in Lake Nakuru NP, Kenya

A transfer from and back to the airport is included

Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for an extra cost

Travel Requirements

  • All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
  • Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (Link), but they can also be obtained through your local Kenyan Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
