  • Day 3 - Full Day Game Drive Safari in Lower Zambezi
Breakfast and depart for the Exploration of the Lower Zambezi National Park with our expert guides. Kanyemba Lodge has located around 45km outside Lower Zambezi National Park; hence we offer full-day game drives for guests who stay with us for a minimum of 3 nights. We depart the lodge early morning for a boat ride (approx 1 ½ hours) downstream to the base camp of Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ), where you will transfer to our open-top game drive vehicle. The full day is spent in the National Park, exploring loops to see if we can find 4 of the big 5 (elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard), as well as various herbivores and birds. After a picnic lunch, you will meander your way back towards CLZ to transfer back to the boat for the trip back to the lodge (2 hours) – arriving around 6 pm. Relax and then you will have dinner and bed at your convenience. Note that due to vegetation within the national park, our vehicle has no shelter from the sun, so a long-sleeved shirt is recommended especially for those with a fair complexion. Neutral-colored clothing is required. There is a minimum age of 12 years to participate in National Park trips.
