This 2 day Murchison falls wildlife safari takes you to Murchison falls national park, the largest and oldest park in Uganda. It has the Nile rushing through a 7-meter narrow gorge causing the famous Murchison falls. While in the park – gaze in wonder at the herds of giraffes on your game drive, Elephants, pride of lions, antelopes. You have an opportunity of a launch trip on Victoria Nile where you will look out for the Nile crocodiles basking in the sun and Schools of Hippos.

  • Day 1 - Transfer to Murchison falls NP – Boat Cruise on Victoria Nil
    Today start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park as early as 6 am to be able to have ample time in the park. Your will drive direct to the park with a brief stopover at the top of the Murchison falls. After this experience you proceed for lunch and later for a boat Safari on River Nile from where you shall watch different animals along the shore both those that live in the water and those coming for watering. The boat ride takes you to about ten meters from the bottom of Murchison falls – also known as the ‘Devils cauldron” before returning to the starting point. Your driver guide will pick you up and after a short evening game drive if you are staying at the northern bank of the river otherwise you transfer immediately to the southern bank because of ferry crossing times.

  • Day 2 - Morning game viewing drive and drive to Kampala
    On this day, have breakfast and take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Check out and drive back to Kampala for a drop off with lots of memories. After the morning game drive, we shall start the journey back to Kampala.

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
