The 10 Days Uganda Discovery Journeys enables you to explore Uganda's major national parks. Uganda the Pearl of Africa is gifted by nature with a number of wildlife species. You will start this 10 Days Uganda Safari in Lake Mburo one of the smallest national parks in Uganda. Despite its size, Lake Mburo national park has a variety of wildlife and it is the best place in Uganda to see Zebras. It is also the best to see Elands the biggest antelope. There are many more antelope species here including the Ugandan Kob and Impalas. You will then proceed with your 10 Days Discovery Journeys adventure to other destinations including Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, and end with Murchison Falls National Park.

  • Day 1 - Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
    You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport for a transfer to Lake Mburo National park. It's a 4 hours long drive and you will have an en route stop over at the Equator for photography. You will arrive in time for lunch and later can go for a game drive seeing a number of wildlife including zebras, giraffes, Buffaloes among others.

  • Day 2 - Nature walk and head to Bwindi Forest National Park
    Have breakfast and go for a nature walk to the salt lick. You will later have a game drive as you exit the park for a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda. It will take a 3 to 4 hours drive.

  • Day 3 - Gorilla trekking & Community visit
    Report to park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla tracking and then be led to the forest in search for mountain gorillas. This will take a 2 to 6 hours hike depending on the movement of gorillas. Once you get to them stay in their presence for an hour taking photos and getting to know more about them. Later you will be brought to the park and in the evening can go for a community visit.

  • Day 4 - Head to Queen Elizabeth National park & Game drive
    After breakfast head to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving early enough for extensive game drives in the Ishasha sectors. If lucky you will spot the tree-climbing lions and many other wildlife in the park. Later proceed to the northern sectors for a rest at your lodge.

  • Day 5 - Nature walk & Boat cruise
    Go for a nature walk in the bat cave Or Kyambura gorge and later return for a break. In the afternoon you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see a number of wild animals including hippos, NIle crocodiles and birds.

  • Day 6 - Game drive and head to Kibale national park
    Start with an early game in the Kasenyi area to catch up with the early risers. You will visit Lake Munyanyange and later exit the park for a transfer to Kibale national park. You will pass via the crater lakes of Ndali and Kaseda for sightseeing

  • Day 7 - Chimpanzee trekking & Nature walk
    Head out early to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. You will see other primates in the park including various monkey species as well as a number of bird species. You will return for a lunch break and later go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetlands where you will also see a number of birds and primates.

  • Day 8 - Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
    You will have breakfast and be transferred to Murchison falls NP. This is a long drive taking 7 to 8 hours with em route stop overs for photography and lunch. You will pass via the Butiaba escarpment with clear views of Lake Albert and then proceed to the park.

  • Day 9 - Game Drives & Boat Cruise
    Go out for early morning game drives in the northern sector of the park with the highest animal concentration. After seeing a variety of wildlife there, return to your lodge for a break and in the evening go for a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls.

  • Day 10 - Departure (En Route Rhino Tracking)
    Have breakfast and exit the park for transfer back to Kampala. You will have an en route stop over at the Rhino Ziwa Sanctuary for rhino tracking and later proceed to Kampala for a drop off at your hotel or lodge depending on schedule. End of tour.

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
