  • Day 1 - Arrival
    Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, an English-speaking Professional Tour Driver-guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will transfer to the booked accommodation. You will check in and take rest, adjusting to time difference.

  • Day 2 - Transfer to Murchison Falls
    You will be met by your guide for transfer to Murchison falls National Park. On our way there, we visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will track rhinos on foot at a safe distance in the guidance of an expert guide. This is the only place where you can see rhinos in the wild in Uganda. We are to have lunch on the way and arrival to the park will be in the afternoon. We check in and continue our journey to the River Nile so as to have a boat trip. While on the boat trip, expect to see a number of aquatic birds, hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, warthogs, antelopes and so on. This also gives you an opportunity to see how the Victoria Nile plunges over 45 meters over the Remnant rift valley wall thus creating the amazing Murchison Falls. You will also be able to see the rainbow that appears on the top of the falls all day. After here, check in lodge for evening accommodation.

  • Day 3 - Game drive
    You wake up for early breakfast, cross River Nile on a ferry and have a morning game drive in search for early risers. We spend most of the day searching for game and drive back to our lodge in the evening to relax. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, warthogs, many antelopes and bird species.

  • Day 4 - Transfer to Fort Portal
    Today we wake up for early breakfast and embark on a long journey to Fort Portal town. We have lunch on the way and arrival will be in the evening. This evening, you have an option to visit the Amabere Caves and crater lakes. The Bunyaruguru crater lake region is located in Western Uganda, only 26km south of Fort Portal. Many of the verdant hillsides containing rich black volcanic soils are still farmed using traditional methods producing diverse plants and herbs and a bewildering variety of crops from tea and coffee through pineapples, passion fruits, bananas, mangoes, avocado, to millet, sweet potato, cassava, sorghum, peanuts, yams and hot chilies.

  • Day 5 - Queen Elizabeth National Park
    Having had breakfast, we continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have a game drive. We later check in our lodge and visit Katwe Salt Lake. You will get to know how local salt is extracted and made ready for consumption/sale. Also visit Lake Munyanyange famous for large flocks of flamingo birds. We then drive to Mweya peninsula for lunch before having a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. Expect to see a number of animals as they come to ease their thirst on the shores. These include crocodiles, warthogs, baboons, buffalos, elephants, antelopes and so on. This is Africa’s top birding spot, so expect to see various bird species including, pelicans, African fish eagles, herons, egrets, cormorants and so on. This boat trip is likely to be a highlight on your 10 days Uganda safari.

  • Day 6 - Chimpanzee tracking kyambura and game drive
    We wake up for breakfast, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You have an option to track chimpanzees either in Kyambura gorge or Imaramagambo Forest or Kalinzu forest. Having encountered these apes, you will spend an hour with them and then move back to your lodge. In the evening, we have a game drive through the Kasenyi sector. This is a mating ground for antelopes and therefore a good place to spot predators (lions, leopards, hyenas). We continue up to Lake George to visit a fishing village before moving to our lodge for overnight.

  • Day 7 - Transfer to Ishasha
    After our breakfast, we embark on a journey to Ishasha sector. This area is famous for the tree climbing lions. We are to have an evening game drive through this sector to search for more game particularly the rare tree climbing lions. Ishasha is one of only two places in Africa where you can see tree-climbing lions. It is believed that the lions have adopted this unusual behavior to escape the tsetse flies and the heat of the lower ground. Being perched on a tree branch is also advantageous when it comes to finding supper, as they can observe their prey from high above. Besides the tree-climbing lions, there is plenty of other wildlife to be seen, including the Ugandan Kob, buffalo, elephant, hippo and zebra.

  • Day 8 - Transfer to Bwindi
    We wake up for breakfast, game drive around Ishasha and later travel to Bwindi Forest. This forest is home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. It is also home to many bird species and the three horned chameleon. We check in our lodge and then enjoy the free time. You may opt to have a village walk or be entertained by a cultural performance at your lodge.

  • Day 9 - Gorilla tracking
    After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, you enter the Impenetrable Forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 45 minutes to 6 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to interact with them. That look into the eyes of the gentle mountain gorilla is likely not to be forgotten and therefore a highlight of your 10 days Uganda safari. These are strongest and most muscular primates on earth. You then return to your lodge to retreat from day activities.

  • Day 10 - Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
    Having had breakfast, we embark on the long journey to Entebbe to catch your flight. We shall have lunch on the way and a stop at the Equator village (Kayabwe). Here you can take pictures on this latitude (00) which can act as souvenirs after your safari.

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
